For those of us that like the Adamas picks, I have found the closest substitute easily purchased around town. I have become accustomed to the thickness of the 2mm Adamas over the years, and I have tried many different easily available thick picks on the market lately. Sometimes the hit or miss ordering at the dunlop plant is not feasible for me, plus it gets pricey for picks. I did order 2 bags from them a month ago, and they only had a few left. I couldn't get a definite answer to its future availability. The Gator grip 2mm, which is readily available at your local music store for 6 bucks a dozen is the closest test subject that cuts, attacks and rings the strings identical to the Adamas. The draw back, the raised lettering on the Adamas always gave me an idea of where the pick is in my finger plus it acts as a grip. The gator grip is LIKE a super fine lightly textured graphite composite and amazingly absorbs moisture leaving a dry like surface always. So don't go spend $40 bucks on a bag on Ebay, try the Gator Grip. I think I have a new brand after all. Thought I would share my experiments.
