ex. She is against Gay Marraige (which being against such a thing IS dumb) and she says gays are attracted to one of the same sex because they think THEY are attractive themselfs. So that's like me looking in a mirror one day and saying "Damn, I'm fine. I think I'll go look for a dude to hook up with that's as hot as me!!"

Being against gay marriage is dumb??? I know she's against it but I know why she is and she properly supported her position. I'm gonna sound offensive here but that sir, is dumb example. Having a position that one diagrees with is not what makes one dumb.
IMO, it is this closed-minded behavior that is truly dumb: ex, "if you don't agree with me, you're dumb"

My cousin who could easytake hom the "Most kind human being on earth" award anyday, is a homosexual. She's closer to me than anyone in my family, and people never get off her case about being gay. I get offensive about that stuff sometime, and even though I think it's ridiculous for people to be against gay marraige, I know it's only their opinion.
We should all respect eachothers opinion right? It may be DAMN hard to do at times, but what are you going to do about it?
For the rest of her existance, Ann will be the way she is now. It's highly unlikely that she will wake one day and think "hey...Liberals ARE humans, too!" (And if she does, be ready for the Apocalypse) and as much as I'd like to do something about it, I cant. I can sit here and talk trash on a Grateful Dead message board, but I can't get on Jay Leno, or The Big Idea w/ DD like she has. But I can talk about how I wish I could.
Soo...am I closed minded for calling her closed minded? Maybe. That is very a simplified way of putting it, but you get the point. I just think it's too hard to sit around and do nothing while she blasts 9/11 widows and gays. As I said before, I've gotta respect her opinion no matter how hard it may be.
