Rochester 9-2-80 is one of my favorites. Brent uses the (Prophet?) "pedal steel" synth from Alabama Getaway during the second half of his solo, and then Garcia just RIPS his lead. I was at that show, great night.

This is one of my favorit shows due to the killer Jack Straw, Power Brent set closer, Really good Althea, and a REALLY good FOTD.

9-12-81 was the first one that came to mind (ya tigerstrat!) but I'm sure there are many others that I'm not familiar with. I love it when Jerry's on and he's just waiting through the Brent/Bobby solos to just rip it up.

great shows and a great FOTD! My first shows in Atlanta. Cool venue too. That one gets my vote.

i daren't say the best, but Hartford 90 is sick. Brent's solo is great and Jerry is playing some super fast runs.

Salt Lake 95, is in my mind, the last great show, I love FOTD from that one, they really picked the pace up.

I believe that's the ironic premise of the lyric: The devil has no friends, so the song narrator is basically saying "I ain't got nobody."

I think the Devil is baddest gangsta on the block and our narrator is saying that anyone who is friends with that bad mutha, he was gone make sure was a friend of his for his own safety.
