I am just getting back into doing some home recording and have a question for you all with the Axe-FX or the Eleven rack units. I use Logic Pro 7 as my software package, love the program it has great effects, an awesome midi editor, and decent guitar amp simulators. But after hearing Vic's Axe-FX I am wondering how compatible that is with Logic. I haven't used any other software based programs other than Logic since the early days of Cakewalk so I don't know how different ProTools or some of the others are. The thing I like about Logic's amp simulators and effects (I'm sure the others are the same too) is that it records the guitar dry and adds the stuff on later and is changeable. I can scroll through and listen to the different amps and settings while the track is playing.
My question is are either of these boxes compatible with Logic and do they load as a plugin where I can scroll through or go back and edit later? Do any of you have a recording of a song using either of these units? I've heard them by themselves and they sound pretty impressive, I'd like to hear them in context if possible.
