[Counterstriker]

So I decided I'm gonna Jerrify my Strat. I already have one of Waldo's buffer that I never put in my Vantage because I just don't like the small scale feel of the Vantage. It's a great guitar but to small for my liking.

But I love the feel of my strat, I've played other strats but I am so used to my strat that nothing else compares.
This is what I plan on putting into it.

-Obel (Waldos buffer)
-Neck pickup stock Fender
-Middle pickup Super 2
-Bridge pickup Seymour 59
-Coil cut the Super 2
-Normal Strat Volume and tone controls
-5 way switch

I want to be able to be able to pull off a Jerry type tone , but at the same time be able to get my own sound when I want to.

I know there's some members on the forum that have Jerrified strats I was wondering if anyone has a Schematic that I could see.

If you are only using a switch for the middle pickup you would wire the black and whites together on the others. This schematic also has the tone controls wired for A)neck/bridge and b)middle. You would just modify that accordingly, but if you're going for Jerry, you might as well, might as well leave it that way anyway.

Sometimes I like to ask, Which Jerry Tone!!! he played so many guitars and did so much cutting edge stuff with his gear. I get my best modern day Jerry from my les paul with the supers diamarrio. I love the strat / euro 72 years the best, so I loaded up an American Showmaster Strat with Area '58's in the neck and middle and area 61 in the bridge( a little hotter). I was jamming to Tennessee Jed through my practice amp and Ipod, and our tones sounded identical on that song. I am sure you can tweak the tones into Jerryville with the awesome set up you just described. Remember, you still have to effect, preamp and amp then speaker to get the tone we are all chasing!! Enough to drive a man crazy! What you just described sounds awesome!!!! would love to hear it. -----JB

I have a shematic for mine...but it's very different...3 Super II's...each with switching...not sure that would help you...but let me know if you want it.

I'm sorry. I just reread your post. I assumed you had 3 supers iis for some reason. Not much different though. For your neck pup there should only be a hot and a ground and I'm going to assume tht the bridge still is a 4wire connection so the same rules apply - north south and hot and ground

Thanks guys, I'm slowly getting there, Still doing the homework so once I start it I can get it done fast, or else I have no guitar to gig with .

But I decided on a Master Tone knob aswell. It's basically like the Mattson-caster that Brad made for Jeff Mattson.

I talked to Brad and he Helped out so much! Gave me pictures of the guts and some great info. but I'm still a little lost as far as the schematic goes. What I don't get is the OBEL wiring. On the Jacks it says to wire something to the "Tip" then the "Ring", what are they exactly?

I'm no expert at this...but on a TRS jack...there are 3 points of connection with the inserted plug...the tip...or top of the plug...the ring is below that and then the sleeve of the plug. Just take a close look at the jack itself and you can pretty easily determine which hub on the jack makes which connection.
