My buddy Phil* started a nice local tradition. He host's a 'Dead Night '. He is a 'downloader'.Phil has local heads over and we check out some sweet stuff - bootleg DVD's, favorite concerts, albums ...
Last night one guy brought a list of shows he was at in 90 and Mike had most of them for the guy.
I usually leave Phils with half a tour of shows.
Thanks Phil !
Anyone else do this ?
Get together with buds and jam the Dead ?

Jedi, your thread looked so lonely I thoguht I'd say that in the Burg, there's been a Dead night for at least 20 years I can recall. Presently it happens every Sunday at the Thunderbird (cool bar we play) on Sunday's hosted by a guy I've known a long time who had 2000 tapes in 1986 when I met him. Used to be at a different bar (Thirsty's) I played a lot in the 90s and was on Wed night. We used to have videos going as well.

You should start one yourself.

That's a pretty good idea. My friends are always looking through my hard drive and they usually leave with a few discs. I'd have to expand my theme to 'Music Collection Night' or something.

Including DVDs, 155 gigs on one hard drive and 101 gigs on another. I used to have a routine where I would download one or two shows a night and listen the next day at work. That starts adding up after a while.
