My daughters are home for the holiday, starting to depart back to life and college soon. As a family, we managed to get out to a movie tonight.

We saw AVATAR. In 3D. Oh man! Everyone should see it. The technology. Amazing. The corniness. Amazing. Flick... simply amazing. Sets a new standard, just like the Grateful Dead did.

Just think if you could see a concert like this. Just think...

I certainley enjoyed it. Gave this old man a sense of awe and wonder like I was a kid again. Hope I can catch it one more time in 3-D before it leaves the theaters. I have a bud that saw it in S.F in 3-D on an I-MAX screen,...now that would be something!

Was it an IMAX screen, or just the IMAX 3D format? It's out in three different 3D formats and 2D. I saw it in IMAX3D (imho beats the pants off of Real3D), but on a standard theater screen.
