So here is my GAS list for 2010... I probably won't get some of the things on the list, other may get dropped due to costs or whatever. But this is my personal list for next year but some of this is related to a band/studio project I am working on.

10) Fender Fretless Bass (Played a couple of them this year and I've been bitten by the fretless bug)
9) 3/4 size Upright Bass (Same as the Fender, tried one and loved it!)
8) Axon AX50 USB
7) Shure SM7
6) Sabian XS20 cymbals, hi-hats, 1 crash and 1 ride
5) Korg NanoKontrol USB Fader
4) M-Audio Studiophile AV 40 Desktop Monitors
3) 3 Audio Technica AT803 minature Omni mics (building a portable ORTF/Decca Tree Rig)
2) 2 Oktava Mk012's
1) Apex Microphone Studio Bundle SB-2 (I've been reading a lot of good things about the Apex 460 on Gearslutz,e specially the Joly OktavaMod versions)

Special Mention: I REALLY want a Presonus StudioLive 16.4.2

Anyone else want to post up what they have on their GAS list?

Parts to finish my EB3: 2 Dark Star pickups, pickguard (will likely have to be custom made), and will have to figure out the bridge. Leaning towards a Warwick bridge with custom-machined brass tailpiece and threaded mounting studs instead of the mounting block that it comes with.

Case for EB3: Ideally a firm bag that fits a 41" long guitar. If that fails it fits into a standard SG case but I don't care for hard cases.

Something in a 1x15" cab. I want to build it but haven't decided what speaker to use or how to plan out all the porting and venting and whatnot.

The custom leather strap that my drummer's wife is building... good straps are important when you build a 13 lb bass!

Someday list: Modulus Q5 with EMGs, rack system including an Alembic F2b preamp, Eden Navigator, SMS if I can get one with bass mods, Stewart or Lab Gruppen power amp, custom or off the shelf cabs TBD.

Carl Martin Comp/Limiter
New guitar that was spec'd from Rice.
Get my 2 10" jensen neos installed.

Sell all the gear I no longer use regularly with only a few exceptions.

Mostly, I will be searching for my most favorite pedals and do a small board version of my rack.

Dang... I'm assuming the DC400 was a trade in there at GC b/c to the best of my knowledge they only sell those at Carvin stores out in LA or have to be ordered on line. Dude if you can... scoop that bad boy up...I've got one and it's best guitar I've ever played. Drool!

That's impossible... At least by my standards. I'm negotiating a deal to partner up with a couple people to build out a couple of spaces for recording/rehearsal work JUST so I have a place to keep gear (where my wife won't find it).

My dream is to someday acquire a QM6 TBX...

Try Eden's David series cabs... There are everything they are cracked up to be.

1. new ata flight case for Garcia rig
2. new guitar (too many ideas there)
3. finish acoustic mods
3. small amp for jams
4. Qtron
5. finish cabinets, more speakers, and CLIPS

I guess that would do it, although this changes on a daily basis.

6. SMS classic
7. Axe FX
8. ground control pro
9. learn and experiment with compressors
10. actually put this stuff to use in a new band!

I think some of this will happen. Stay tuned!

I know man but it wasn't for me, It had the floyd rose, it was blue, I was looking for a natural wood color, Maybe Quilted maple, like JK's.

Besides the color and the bridge it was the best guitar I played, and I usually hang out at Guitar center for hours on the weekend trying to find the right guitar and this time someone recently traded a carvin for some other guita, beats me why someone would do that.

I really like the feel of my fender but the bulky neck joint is a killer when I play up the neck.

Once I get one hopefully in the next year I plan on doing major mods on it. Does anyone else have one on the forum?

Happy New Year!

I've got a DC400 Lefty. I gutted all the existing electronics and removed the pickups. My intention was to route the middle for a super II. I was going to keep the SD Pearly Gates in the bridge and neck positions, coil tap them all and put Waldo's buffer in it.

Still have everything laying around,(besides the buffer) just haven't gotten around to doing it.

Any lefty's interested in a gutted DC400??

Someday... I absolutely do not have the budget. And the fact that my Redhead is maxed out prevents onstage volume wars. But I played through a nice Epifani rig last night and man, it was sweet!
