Hey everyone
Can anyone help me I just got a micro qtron for christmas this is my first envelope filter; I have played around with it for a while but in the BP and HP mode it is very bassy I don't know if the pedal is defective or is this normal and i just haven't the right settings
any help would be appreciated

Yo !
Remember its a touch sensitive pedal.Try hitting the strings harder or softer.I like to strike the string over the bridge pick up .... way back by the bridge ; for a more quacky sound.

Set the knob on the left all the way to the right.*
The knob in the middle @ 1 o'clock the knob on the right 11 o'clock.
This is how I set mine.



* The pedal isnt in front of me- I could be wrong. :D

It shouldn't be bassy in HP Mode! HP is High Pass, meaning it filters OUT low frequencies and lets high freqs pass. However, for Garcia tones, you want Low Pass, which WILL be bassy, esp. if you don't dial all that bass mud out of your basic amp tone.

All envelope filters are very tricky to use at first, its like learning to ride a unicycle.

the trick to these things, is to set it to go right up to the quack, then back off. You should be able to make it quake by hitting the strings hard.
