This video alway knocks me out, Jerry hopping around like a nut doing US Blues at Duke in 78, windmill chords and everything.

Sharp, sharp contrast between that kind of animation and his later years (saw my first show a few months after this at Giants Stadium).

Love the jump at the end? It's almost surreal - Jerry jumping??? Check out the Truckin from that show also. The climax at the end has a lot of windmills too. Bob looks amused at Jerry's antics as well.

Great Vid!!...I remember times when the crowd would go wild after he just slightly kicked up one foot...very cool. Also very cool...Vic, I believe my first show was the same Giants Stadium show. Willie Nelson opened, followed by NRPS...does that sound familiar?

Yes; Kreutzmann's arm was in a cast, it was supposed to be Waylon and Willie, but Waylon bailed, and John Scher came out to announce Willie and said, "Waylon's not here ... but f--k him; who needs him anyway?"

Here's a few animated gifs I made of Jerry gettin' down. (Mods, feel free to de-link them if they slow the thread down too much)

Skating on mirrors refers to when there is white powder on a mirror and your nose skates over it.

I think it's the razor blade that "skates" on the mirror...

Sorry, it's been a while. I hung up my skates long ago.

I like the older verse:
"Esau he's on roller skates today.
Selling real estate to someone in L.A."

(later replaced by "Esau skates on mirrors anymore. Meets his pale reflection at the door")
