When it doesn't fit anywhere else

Sooooo...we have our first gig lined up for NYE. The place has nothing. We have to bring everything. Currently, we have just been running microphones through a $400 Kustom PA and using our amps for the instruments. Everyone is clueless, myself included, about what we will need, how it will work, etc. The venue will hold about 300 folks. I found one place that rents:

I have no idea if this stuff is any good. I assume with some basic instructions we could probably figure it out. Any help?!?!?

Hire someone to do it for you.
Opening band ? Use their stuff ....
Got friends ? Use their stuff ! {{{{{{ CHEAPEST WAY }}}}}}}
Or wing it with rented stuff ......
If you are playing a gig you wont want to be hassling with the board .... {{{{{ NYE and you are tripping - can you figure out the board ? }}}}}}}}}} .....
You will need someone run the board .....
Good luck Ed
It will work out
:smile:

That company's 2 smallest PA look decent... 1 setup is a Yorkville, the other is a Soundcraft...both are using JBL's for the main and monitors... we use 2 of these for wedges and they are great.

$150 for the night isn't bad either. isn't great but at least you'll be able to do the gig.

if you don't know boards well here is a simple thing:
run a mono mix to mains and the same to the monitors.
only change the output level.

this will ensure simplicity.
