Song starts out really good. I like the mood. The vibe. The guitar over the top of that groove has to be refined some. It may just be too loud. It may need to be more melodic, less attack and free-flow.
Try taking some of the punch out of it. Volume lower.
I wouldn't have replied if I thought it was worthless. Sorry to give criticism. I really like the groove, and finding the right guitar over the top of that groove is essential.

i guess all that time at the garden watching phish this week killed my ears because you are right, the mix is all outta wack. Also, i think i will re-record the guitar solo to make it more mellow in the beginning. This will likely end up an intro to another song, but i do appreciate the feedback.
