Hey Mike, damn - now that's a compliment - thanks - now if our product is such that someone coming from 150 miles to see us feels it was worth the trip then we're doing pretty good. To be sure, if someone coming from across the street from the joint feels it was worth the trip that'd be ok too!

Thanks - ya know it's kinda funny you went there - we had a little band joke going that maybe we'd just change names for every gig!

Might be a bit tough for folks to keep tabs on us though, huh?

For anyone who may be considering dropping by to see us and is confused by the info at the roadhouse website, we are indeed playing this friday nite - The website has the wrong date listed, 11/11 instead of the 6th, and they have us as 'Friends of the Devil' instead of Stella Blue's band. While we were only FOTD for about a day or 2 we can hardly blame them for that considering our band naming soap opera.

Yea well thanks for the support tj - we'll try to get the mf-er rollin' - it'll be weird being up on stage again - it's been a while, but it'll be fun. Hell, not exactly a stage where we'll be! tehe

This reminds me - I saw Roger Daultry last week at the Ryman here in town (the show rocked BTW if you get a chance to see it). But he said that he did not do encores and that The Who didn't do encores until the stadium days demanded it. He said that encores were all staged and never genuine and he just left it all on the stage and played until he was done.

Whew, this was a late one! Supposed to go on at 11 didn't get going 'till 11:30 due to a late dinner crowd. I just got the link to the recording so I'm gonna download, edit into tracks and upload then I'll post a link - maybe

I never have a real good sense until I hear the playback so I think we did ok - All the feedback was real good. There were about 80 or so people in at the beginning with about 50 of them paying the door. Thinned out to about 10 or 15 core folk by the time we started the 2nd set. Got shut down at 2:45am - to bed at 4.

For my part I don't think I did anything special (I'm usually my harshest critic) and I had some problems with my volume and boss dual overdrive pedals - got some fuzz from the V pedal so I took it out of the chain - and had a power/volume drop off on the dual overdrive so I just stuck to my mxr dist +. Cleaned the crap out of the knobs with a cleaner/lubricant today.

We'll see how we sound on the recording though I know there were some rough spots. Didn't really get a sound check as we were running so late so adjustments were made on the fly by a friend who was doing sound for us. Here's the set.

I was standing right next to Bill the entire night - my ears will never be the same!

Seriously - I thought it went great. We were very tight, had a good crowd and were paid nicely.

Bill - you sounded great. I can't wait to hear the Shakedown - I hope the recording captured the moment as I was feeling it.

An excellent start. The challenge is to keep the momentum and to build from here...

Sounds like the show went well! Nice, I'm really happy for you guys.

Bill, I've been watching you crank out mean Jerry riffs on your acoustic and electric for the last few years here and I've learned a lot from watching what you do. It's really interesting to watch you work the fretboard because I can see how you navigate from chord position to chord position during your solos, up and down the neck, adding chromatics and other pretty things.

Thanks so much for all your videos, can't thank you enough really.

Looking forward to hearing the recording.
