I just wanted to throw this guys name out there. I was listening to a lot of his music this weekend after my buddy saw him live in San Fransico. If you haven't heard him, it is definately worth the time. His guitar playing is very similiar to Jerry's, I feel that same dancy up and down vibe with his playing. He has original material plus he covers every Dead song, it seems. You can check out some of his live shows on archive.org

yeah, i've heard him before somewhere. I like it.

Speaking of coverting Dead songs, is there a compiled CD of Keller Williams covering the Dead live?

It's called Keller Williams - Crazy Fingers.
And it rocks!! I was told it was a live show for some friends of his, but can't recall who mentioned that. It's 2 cd's worth and it was the first time I'd heard of him and was quite impressed!

ive only seen keller three times, but i love his stuff! if you're familiar with the song "freaker by the speaker" then you'll understand my username. in my 3 times of seeing him, i know he's covered at least 5 different dead songs.
