I am looking for 2 JBL E-120 8 ohm speakers.

The catch is I am up in Ottawa, Canada. I have found a few of these available (ebay, craigslist, kijiji) but no one seems to be willing to ship.

If you have any or know where to get a couple and would be willing to ship - I'm interested

Billbbill,

Do you think jonarobb will care if I hit em' up also. I'm in the market for a couple of these as well. I just scored on ebay 2 vintage JBL K-120's. The only down side is they have to be reconed. Got a guy here in Charlotte that will do it for 100 bucks a speaker. Total out of pock on my part...300 bucks this includes the reconing.

give him a shout - the issue with this, i'd figure, is weight & shipping costs but can't hurt to ask.

I haven't been able to located any E-120's yet but I did get a line on two K-120's.

The K-120's have different ohm ratings (16 and 8). I don't think there should be an issue wiring these up in parallel to my MC2105 on the 8 ohm terminal. Can anyone confirm? I suppose my other option is to wire the speakers separately and run things in stereo (picking up an axe-fx so this may be the best way to utilize some of the stereo effects).

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Is there some legal reason not to ship to Canada???

Jeez. If it's just a matter of the expense of shipping, do you have any friends in the States who could do this for you? If not, hell, I'll help ya out. You'd have to cover all the costs (duh), but I'd do a bro a fave. I bought two E120s from jonarobb about a year ago and love 'em. I've also bought stuff from other kind RUKinders with great satisfaction and a little karma the other way wouldn't hurt a bit if all you need is someone to do an hour's worth of leg work for you. You could buy 'em on ebay and have them shipped here and I could forward them to you. You'd pay double the shipping, but that's the price of getting them I guess...

Drop me a PM if you want to discuss how to work it out.

Right on brother - thanks! I am actually making a call to friend in Tucson in about 5 mins to try and arrange a couple of the E-120's I saw on ebay ("pulled from a working PA"). If he can't help me out I'll be PMing you soon.

Thanks for the offer man - that's what I've been hoping for.

No it's either a HUGE pain in the ass or very expensive. Last time I received an amp from Canada it took almost 4 weeks and I could only find 2 statuses:
1 - received by CA Postal
2 - transferred to US PO

That's crap if you ask me.

Then I shipped something and investigated the cost via FEDEX and it was over $100 to ship something worth about $500.

So when shipping between Canada and the US you have 2 options:
- POSTAL = 4 weeks and no status and if your item is heavy it will be beat to ship
- FEDEX = pay and arm and a leg

Thanks to all for the offers for assistance.

I was able to get a friend stateside to bid on a pair of E-120's and pass along the shipment if I win.

Keep on pickin' and grinnin'

Thanks guys - I wish I known about you guys earlier. I ended up winning the ebay auction I bid on. As long as the speakers get shipped and are in working condition I will be set. If for any reason there is an issue I will be following up!
