hey all i would like to thank all of you that contributed to my post about the MC550 or the prs. in the end, after much thinking and almost going with the mc55o, i dug up some old pictures that i had saved in my really cool guitars file. i found a picture of steve kimock with the teak cripe eagle. then i found the picture of the semi hollow eagle guitar. i have decided to go ahead and build one similar myself. i have picked out the wood and the neck i just have to order them. im thinkng an eastern maple core, with a carved myrtle wood top and a pre bulit neck from cavin with an ebony fretboard and dimond inlays. i plan to cave out the maple wings, so it is chambered and gives me the semi hollow effect. i am also going to put an ebony tailpiece on it like trey anastaiso's languedoc. im unsur of the pickups and configuration of them. any suggestions? also does anyone have any suggestions on how to sand the body and all that. i have the tools ive just never done it.
thanks
