Guys, please don't turn this into any kind of bashing thread. I just want to get people's experiences with Jack of Roses. I think people need a place to post and to find this info.

To start off, for anyone thats ordered before, how long did it take to get your order?

Weeks.

Something about a lost template for the cutter or something...

How many weeks? I ordered and paid on July 29th. Nothing yet for me.

Like 8 or 9.

After the second week passed, I hounded him twice a week via email. Seems like a nice enough guy, but not the most on-the-ball when it comes to following through on filling orders. Strange business model, but short of finding a machinist to custom-manufacture the parts on your own, it's what we've got...

I was told no longer than two weeks and it ended taking about 10 weeks

It sounds like this is a common experience with Brian.

I don't understand the logic of making people wait. It wouldn't take much to stock 1 or 2 of each item he offers. The demand I'm sure isn't overwhelming. Maybe he could use help of some sort?

I hope the quality is worth the wait!

The quality is excellent. And, to tell the truth, I still haven't gotten my guitar to the tech for the mods...

It's good to hear the quality is good. I've heard that about Brian's stuff.

It took a while for me to get my stuff. Great stuff but it took a long time. I called him and emailed him a few times and he got moving with my order. I spoke with Brian and he said he makes a lot of parts for electric guitar builders and gets backed up. Good guy and good stuff.

I'm not certain but I think he does all the parts for Warmouth tribute guitars and perhaps individuals get in line behind them.

I know Brian mentioned Scott Walker as one of the people he makes parts for and that those are usually pretty big orders so it takes a long time to fill everything. He also mentioned he is in a band and has a promotion company as well, so he is a busy guy. One more thing he told me is that each piece is not sold until it is "just exactly perfect."

Finally got my parts yesterday! I have to say, it's very nice stuff. Plan accordingly when ordering if you're in a hurry!

On a side note, did any of you guys get screws with your order, or did you supply your own?

No screws. I didn't even think about it until you mentioned it.

I was mainly concerned with what sizes to use, I don't care about having to get them myself. My local hardware store has a great selection of brass hardware. I'll let you know how I make out with sizes.
