Any day is good day to leave Texas !
I saw the dead in '89 on the 4th .... was it Buffalo ?
Or maybe where the Patriots play ?
Anyway yeah man !
We did a mini tour and the whole time we were carry this huge like firecracker with a fuse on it ....it was about 1/2 the size of a soda can ...
After the show we were all fucked up and one of the guys lites it and just throws it .... not even looking ....it lit the sky up and produced a ton of smoke and was loud as shit ..... people were freaking out. A huge piece of sod was blown off the ground !
We got in the car and split.
Good times !

Saw both the 86 and 89 Buffalo ID4 shows.

Anybody remember if it rained in '86? that's been kind of a running joke argument on a different forum...

TS..It rained, briefly, but the wind was swirling and the sound was difficult for them to nail, it was the dylan (petty)& dead, hot fire on the mountain, and a 4minute lovelight, yup 4 minutes don't blink.

I was at the 7/4/86 show in Buffalo. I remember the Dead opened because Dylan played Farm Aid via sattelite. I also remember Jack Straw to open and US Blues encore. Then 2 days later at RFK one of the sweatiest events I have ever been to. God help us from DC in July!
