Hey! This is a _hockey_ thread. Take your roundball discussions elsewhere. :)

Well the old standing around not getting their sticks in the passing lanes missing assignments rangers are back. I was hoping they'd take an extended vacation but alas no...if they stick around too long the real extended vacation will not be far away. We'll see who shows up next.

The Caps finally got out of the "I need to do it all by myself" mentality.

Speaking of mental... how about Avery's multiple meltdowns? Isn't he supposed to get under the opposition's skin rather than his own?

Yea, I have to say he's an idiot. He'd be a great pest if he didn't end up hurting his own team as much as he does. After he punched erskin I believe it was, I commented on a cap/ranger thread at espn.com that I'd bench him right then. Then he goes and carelessly gets a high stick and bumps the goalie later on for 2 more penalties, and then total ridiculousness at the end of the game. When he's in control of his idiotic tendencies he's very effective and can score a few goals as well. It just ain't often enough. I'm assuming he's playing Wednesday but he shouldn't.

i have to say i knda like avery, i went to the bruins dallas game this year and we sat in the first 2 rows next to the penalty box, the first time he avery got in the penalty box my buddie said some stuff to him and they went back and forth a little and he ended up squarting some water at my buddie, after that i think he got back in the box 4 times and they were mostly stupid penaltys so its nice if you play against him,

you know we did good after 9 10 days rest so we got carolina, the only team that might give us trouble is washington but i have a feeling were gona have an other sweep and there gona get all beat up this series, and besides they only really have 1 good line

I am not a Bruins or Caps follower but ya think the Bruins would have trouble with the Caps? I woudn't think, I dunno? I would think the Bruins have more of the defense that wins playoff games. From what I have seen, I really like the hockey the Bruins play. I think they have a good chance.

Slightly off topic  ,
I saw the finals of the Frozen Four here in DC, It may have been the best hockey game I have ever been to. BU pulled out the 2 goals to force overtime in the last min. and then win.

They need a whole riot squad for one little penguin?

What'll it take when you have 22 big ones to deal with?!
