A big shout out to Isaac and Joe for letting me taking the helm and driving last night... MikePand has the SBD of the show.

We ended up mic'ing the one drum set with 4 channels and mixing that down with a small Mackie Board fed to the main Soundcraft board. The 11 channels on that board were: Vox 1-4, Guitars 1 and 2, Keys, Bass, the strereo Drum Feed and Congas.

How did it go? I didn't get to listen as I was on my way out to Worcester for what turned out to be an awesome two-drummer gig... did they let you play however long you wanted or interrupt you for station identification, etc?

They announced the band @ 7PM and pretty much handed the controls over for the next hour. After the announcements they punched the control over from one Control Room to another. The only weird part was part-way through the broadcast, in between songs, I was talking to the band from the Control Room into the Studio. I had forgot to turn up my mic in the mix so there was a few seconds of dead air. They let the Band go right straight through til 8.

All in All, it went really well from my perspective... some wierdness at first with the drum mixer, the first mackie they used was junk. The second board worked better but I still had some issues with one channel on the Soundcraft which I could not quite work through during soundcheck. But things settled down after the first song during the show and it's sound awesome by the end.

went well. thanks to Ray. you da man. I thought we sounded really good. Nice little room. The guys down there were laid back and cool.

I have vids that came out really nice done by our new intern Jeremy (how about this kid Ray? What a find!). I will post that stuff when I have time today.

I just wish I could take my big clam in China Cat out! It's D dummy not E!!!!!! But besides that and one little Sugaree hiccup by Kevin I thought it was perfect. Listening back Adam did some sick, I say sick stuff. Fastest guns in the east that kid is.

Good luck Scoob. My only advice is bring a soundman, I'm glad we did. And watch out for volume as it's a small room and gets LOUD.

Oh, and don't try to park illegally in Cambridge. It's worth the walk to park legally. Our keys player got a $30 ticket.
