Maybe some of the Electronic Wizards on this board can help me out...I've acquired a Morley "Tripler" which basically splits the guitar signal to up to 3 guitar amps (ABY), it also has a boost pot in case the signal gets weak...
it's works great using a couple of Fenders, but when I patched in a Marshal DSL; holy cow hiss city! Now the Marshal is a gainy amp but it doesn't hiss and hum nearly as bad when patched alone. Is there a simple circuit design that I can modify the Tripler or am I just better off buying a Humplug-e? http://www.21best.com/21_best/electroni ... ml#HUMplug

That product is also marketed by Ebtech as Hum-X. It's a pretty astounding device in that it preserves your safety ground, yet removes any ground loop AC currents (hum).

Not too sure why you'd be hearing an added hiss though. The Hum makes sense as you have multiple ground paths. Is it the 3-way splitter alone that's causing the hiss, or is it when other amps are added to the scenario that the hiss happens.

You may want two of those Hum-X devices. If you're dangerous, you can simply lift the ground on 2 of the 3 amps. But I'd never officially recommend that.
