In the video (1984) Jerry is stage right. I always thought that when Brent joined the band (1979) Jerry switched places with Phil.

When and why did this change happen? I started going in 85 and Jerry was in the "new" place on stage by then.

willmusic wrote:What kind of Fender amp was Jerry playing that acoustic through? The guitar looked like a Martin but when did the Takamine and Alvarez come in? And it looked like Kahn was nowhere to be seen. Maybe off to the side? I know when the only solo Jerry shows were, so I guess I can assume someone was playing with him. If anyone has any info, please enlighten me.
The crowd interviews and acoustic footage is taken from Avery Fischer Music Hall in November of 84. Kahn is on stage with him and you can hear plunkin' away during Deep Elem. I was at all these shows. Robert Hunter opened for Garcia that whole acoustic fall tour.

Dennis Elsas show was edited a few months later. Hence the inclusion of Jerry's bust smoking the fat crack rocks in his Beemer in January 85'.

Amp looks like a red knob Super.
