I bought one from Troy on ebay last night, a blonde Skyline. I don't even know which of my many methodical searches I was doing; when I stumbled across this guitar, I completely forgot about everything else I was thinking. I'd never even heard of Troy's guitars before. I was just about to pull the trigger on a set-neck Tele from Jamerson Guitars, but I hadn't decided on what tuners to have them rout the headstock for, so I was putting it off until I did. The Post has almost everything I want: 24.75" scale, 1-11/16" nut, 12" fretboard radius, two humbuckers, four knobs, and a hardtail Strat-type bridge. The fretboard's rosewood; I'd really been planning on my next guitar having an ebony 'board, but that's OK. Bonuses are 24 frets and neck-through body! From the pics, Troy's work appears to be breathtaking - what beautiful carving. This one has EMGs, so I'm going to rip 'em out and put in Super 2's, with push-pull tone pots for coil-splitting. I live in Norfolk - Troy is going to drive down here from C-ville and hand-deliver the guitar the day after tomorrow! I've been playing nearly 40 years, and I don't remember the last time I was this excited about a new guitar. (I buy LOTS of guitars, and they ALL excite me, but this one...whew!) If anyone is reading this, I'll post (get it - Post...!) my impressions after I've had a chance to spend some time with it.
