Thankfully, I'm still basking in the 2008 World Series championship winning Philadelphia Phillies.* Otherwise, I wouldn't feel good at all about how the Flyers went into this postseason.** It would be nice to see Philly get past the Penguins, but I'm not feeling confident at all about our upcoming series.

Whoever wins, I sure as hell hope it isn't the Red Wings.

I feel the same about the Fly guys.
We have trouble out there ; they give us fits. we played as good as we could last year against the Pens and still came up short.
Wasnt Timmonen out for most of the playoffs last year ? Maybe that will change our luck.
Could be a short spring for Philly's winter teams as it looks like the 76'ers will draw Boston.

Yea while they played well the caps didn't (no pun intended) capitalize on a bunch of ranger mistakes. Too many pp chances and it seemed like 3/4's of the game was in our end. The king played well. I was amazed they didn't get avery for interference right before the gomez goal. On the other hand should have been an elbow on green who layed out sjoostrom which may have prevented the caps goal less than a minute later at the end of the 2nd.

4 goals is pretty good for us. We'll need more of that if we're gonna have a chance.

There's a ways to go. Avery is a bitch huh? One of those guys you like to have on your team (when he's not taking stuuuupid penalties) and reeeeally hate when he's on the other team. The caps would do well to take a page from the pens last year and pretty much ignore him.
