...so just listened to a nice acoustic LLR with Ratdog....What a great song done so many ways over the years...Jerry on the pedal steel...wow...Donna with some usually nice additions...early 80's....10-10-82....very tasty...and then the late eighties/early nineties when Jerry does that really just exactly perfect riff at the end.....

...The question is...was there ever a show where Jerry is 'allowed' to just go off at the end? Maybe Bob's mic broke one night..but just take that final progression of the song....did the boyz ever just jam the hell out of it without Mr. Weir singing about his rainy day? (no offense to Bob..he's totally the man..)

...What are some of the best versions of LLR from a Jerry prospective?

For me personally, the Columbia, N.C. Halloween show 1985 is the best in my collection. Great guitar work, especially the solo.....Healey really does some crazy stuff and at one point the audience is louder than the band.....
