Hey RUKind,
Wanted to let everyone know about this fantastic benefit the UGA Music Business Program will be putting on May 1st at the Melting Point in Athens, GA. The benefit will feature performances from the Randall Bramblett Band and keyboardist Chuck Leavell from the Rolling Stones/Sea Level/Allman Brothers Band. Tickets can be purchaed online at www.meltingpointathens.com, and proceeds go to helping the UGA Music Business Program and its students.
Our program at UGA has been steadily growing over the past few years, with the average class size staying around eighty members. The class provides us a chance to throw ourselves into numerous aspects of the industry, including production, publicity, artist management, and publishing.
VIP tickets are $150, and include a meet and greet, food, and a table on the floor in front of the stage. General Admission tickets are $100. I know this is a rather large chunk of change for people to consider spending, but any help towards our program is greatly appreciated. And you know Chuck is going to deliver!
Thanks for the help RUKind! Hopefully I will see some of you this year on tour or at some festivals, can't wait!
Matt
