I don't see how David Gilmour is truly being hypocritical. I don't see him playing songs The Wall. He's still a musician, british and was playing at the same time as the stones and that's about where the similarities stop.
However, I don't care that the stones still play. I don't watch them play or enjoy their music, but asking someone to stop isn't really very nice. I can understand his frustration though. I thought the half-time show was kinda sad to watch. Looked like desperation to me.
