With that said, I think it's primarily a Kimock show, TS.
fwiw, I've always thought of Melvin as a "SideMan" (one of the great B3 playing sidemen out there) based on pretty much everything I have seen him do musically.
I can't think of one Melvin original (fwiw, I can't name a Kimock original either), or song that he sings really good and has made his own, so to speak. He only did like 10% of the soloing on the shows I've seen him at... even in post Jerry JGB he gave the lions share of the solos to the guitarist.
Why?... Ya got me??? I have always hoped to see Melvin take way more wailin' B3 solos on every song.
Maybe Steve will put him on the spot?!?! (I think I will bring my minidisk recorder to this show).
