Uncle Johns Band>Eyes>Saint Stephen was some of the sickest shit I've heard in years. Major Eleven tease and they took it down the wormhole going into Dark Star ala late 60's'. Very psyched. Weir was amazing. As soon as they got into Cassidy and everyone had their levels right, the band hit immediate liftoff. Weir played the big sunburst 335 into a Vox. The intro into Eyes was so unique with Weir slashing away at those off-rhythm chops reminescent of the best of 73-74 with a cool new feel. Good shit overall yo'. Warren was laid back. Again, the real deal here. This band is firing on all cylinders. Don't miss it if you can.

Anyone else a but let down by Warren's tone ? Sounded early '90s cheap Garcia imitation ala the "What I Am" solo from New Bohemians - to me. I think his playing sounded great, very 73-74ish, but it just didn't mesh with that fx set up.

Nah i didnt like his e. filter sound either but maybe he does ...
I really enjoyed it though .... they sound better than I thought they would .... the singing seemed tight .... it seems focused from that little spot I heard ; Phil seemed on intent on keeping the jam riff steady and solid as opposed to all noodle like ...
