Most of Bob's tunes after Estimated and Jerry's 90's tunes, anything Phil sang live, and anything Brent wrote (he did some good covers). While I like Dylan tunes, did not enjoy many of the ones the Dead did live mainly because there were some many of there own tunes I would rather be hearing. Surprised the live version of FOTD would make a list as Jerry's solo on that was a true work of art.
But to answer the question that was asked, 10 tunes that they had recorded in the studio:

Mexicali is one of the most underappreciated GD tunes ever. Listen to Jerry and Phil tearing it up through the whole song... look at those mamas shakin it on the dance floor...

Frankly, on any given night, ANY tune could be either the best or the worst.

Mama Tried...only heard one version I like and that's Cornell '77.

El Crappo...although there are a few good versions (mostly because of Jerry's excellent guitar work).

Any Bobby version of "Lovelight"...his versions sound like Bill Murray doing his cheesy lounge act schtick.

I too am a little blown away by some of these selections. I have a version of way to go home thats killer, i think its a great tune and the boys all had good parts. in particular the one from boston gardens in 94. I dont think i could come up with 10 tunes..

I love day job and alot of other tunes mentioned. some of the songs you guys picked were only performed a handful of times, if that...and i happen to love France alot and picasso moon, that song kicks so much ass....some of those tunes take a few listens, especially way to go home but now i consider it a gem that noone ever really respected.

This is true. There's good and bad versions of every song I suppose. I can't really think of 10, but their worst was definitely Easy Answers. Also, any Donna song.

It's supposed to be limited to songs that were actually recorded on an album, right? Not including tunes that were only played live? So, with that as the guidepost, my list of infamy would contain:

1. We Can Run - although "I Will Take You Home" would get it if it was on an album
2. Money Money
3. Victim Or The Crime - I appreciate the interesting aspects of the composition, but just thoroughly grating to my ears.
4. Built To Last - trying very hard there, Jerry?
5. Sunrise - Donna showpiece - enough said
6. What's Become Of the Baby?
7. Just A Little Light - I remember a review of "Built To Last" at the time that described many of Brent's tunes as having " a generic rinky-dink cheesiness" to them. Couldn't have said it better. Great keys player, great, emotive singer, but pretty lame songwriter a lot of the time.
8. When Push Comes to Shove - obviously an afterthought, throwaway tune.
9. France
10. Picasso Moon

However, had the final album ever been released, this list would look very different. Most of those tunes did absolutely nothing for me.
