hey folks,
i have been playing with one of my semi hollow guitars and i am having a hell of a time trying to cut out some of the bass frequency. i love semi hollow and hollow body guitars, but i cant figure out how to lower the bass, without boosting the treble to lead like levels. i am thinking that an eq would help, but what kind , any suggestions?

Befor you start messing with EQs, you might want to try simply lowering your pickups on the low E side using the adjustment screw. I know on my guitars, adjusting pickup height has an enormous effect on the tone. Just go a tiny bit at a time and note the change.

There are many ways to combat boominess. The above is a good start. Can you tell us more about your amp or PA setup, and the problem? Is it happening in all rooms or just some?
