That might be the best 1995 pic I have seen of Jerry onstage- he's beaming like his ol' self. Could have chosen a lot worse, imho.

I would prefer a much younger "Jerry in his prime" for a book cover.

So did anybody figer out who is adjusting Jer's amp in that Family Dog vid?

Pete, I just watched this (the GD segment twice)... when does this alleged "amp grope" happen? I couldnt find any reaching arms. Were you watching a wide screen version? Perhaps the arm is cropped out of the version that I have out from Nflix, which is full screen.

Great glimpses of Phil's EB-0, and Casady's Alembicized Starfire! Kind of an interesting ES-345 Jorma's got there, sunburst with all gold hardware. Also- dig Carlos' threads! Mexi-Western dress shirt, topped with what looks like an L.A. Rams jersey?, topped with black leather vest.

Was that Janis dancing like a freak during Super Jam? Also thought I spotted David Crosby, and there's a guy that looks just like a young Steve Kimock gawking at Jorma's jamming.

I don't have the exact time on me, but watch Hard To Handle during a Jerry solo (it's quite a ways into it).
I'll nail down the exact time and post back (I'm at work now).

OK, found it- it IS Thing! Wow, good eye noticing that. You definitely hear Jerry's sound go away for several seconds, because Volume is the first adjustment made and Thing resets it too low, but he moves on to all the other knobs on Channel 2 before coming back to Vol and slowly nudging it higher after what seems to take forever. It's kinda weird because Jerry seems to be paying no attention, but also seems to really lay way off in his jamming while all this is happening, so perhaps he knew something was "afoot".

Super jam was a bit of a cluster-brew at times. What a shame the more interesting 2nd phase wasn't included in its entirety, getting cut short at the credits.
