The China Cats is new to this forum, but that's only because the band recently changed its name from Dough Knees, under which the band has been playing around the Bay Area and Central Coast for the last couple years.
The China Cats is a Dead tribute band from Palo Alto and Santa Cruz. We're playing the Starry Plough April 11 in Berkeley with Pat Nevins' Acoustic Trio opening the show. Pat, you may know from Workingman's Ed.

Great name for attracting the right audience!
I went to a Pirate Festival last summer and came away thinking a good name for a band might be "China Cat Mayflower"... those guys (and gals) are into the Skeleton-Pirate-ee garb bigtime!
