That is the text. But what is the application? What are the other amendments? What are the federal laws?
While on the surface you are correct. And say it was 1800 you'd be 100% correct but that is not how the federal government works. It has created enough loopholes to have federal laws. However, federalist and constiutionalist and the likes of Ron Paul all agree with you. In fact, I do too! But that is not the way the feds works. And instead of sitting around crying how it should work I'd rather play by the precedence and work the system for what I want since changing it will not happen any time soon.
