Nice to see you last night. Your lead guitarist amazes me. Damn, is he good.

What the heck is that mode or scale that he favors so?

Nice to see you too man. Thanks for coming out. I really don't know on that but I will find out. He really is jaw dropping sometimes tho, no doubt. Makes it seem so effortless. He is rooted in jazz and also has a band called the Adam Douglass Trio. Search that on myspace and check some of that out. amazing original jazz stuff.
The best part is he may be the most unassuming, ego-less nice guy you will ever meet.
I'll email him about your question.

Howsabout that Basta room? Nice club! And the guy loved us so we will be back maybe as soon as March.

Yeah, decent place. Glad to hear the club wants you back. The more places that offer "the music" the better.

Here is what he wrote back, I'm not sure he understands what you meant but I do. I think it just may be the speed he is going at times. He just gets shredding and it's crazy. All I know is he is a great guitarist.

"Mode or scale I favor? All of 'em, I guess. Major scale modes for "in" stuff, melodic minor or harmonic minor and their modes for "out." Other stuff too..."

Here is his myspace for the Adam Douglass Trio. www.myspace.com/adamdouglass check that stuff out.

That's an interesting thought. If I can ever stop spending all my spare $ on gear, I might give it a try. I'll let you know. Thanks.
