http://arts.ucsc.edu/Gdead/AGDL/ , just as google gave it to me. this is 440 east coast on sunday feb 1 and im getting nothing. Anyone else getting through?

i know a book was for sale, probably a pretty nice thing to have, but still it doesnt seem logical for the site to be missing without even an explanation page. its dead, without annotation! sad to see a great site and valuable resource like that go, even hunter emailed in sometimes! seemed like a real nice guy (dodds i think?) running it, hope he's ok...

anyone know anything else? im i overreacting to a brief outage here? lol

It's back.

At first I thought I had gotten in through the "back door" with this link http://arts.ucsc.edu/gdead/AGDL/shalit.html
found in Dead Songs In Depth @ The Well http://www.well.com/conf/deadsongs.vue/topics/

Mustve been routine maintenance.

Ya know, I never really checked out much of these picked-apart lyric theories until pretty recently, but the very first one I looked at was the above Franklin's Tower link, and boy... looks like a lot of people actually thought this Shalit guy was being serious w/ that whole story about the Liberty Bell and Ben Franklin and the wind blowing through the crack, etc. He actually had me going "whaa??" for the first couple of paragraphs, and then he kinda went over the top w/ the "quotes" and the wind through the crack...  classic cosmic debris!
