St of C out of space----one time only though, Richmond 85---my favorite Lost Sailor>(D/S)>Saint ever

I think that was the only time they did that. Maybe one other time, not sure. Lost Sailor>D>S> St.

opener:
Help on the Way-Slipknot-Franklin's: I always figured this was so hard to play, especially with 6 players, that to open with it meant they were somewhat warmed up and most importantly that Jerry was in an adventurous mode. They would often explore on these quite a bit. Several Chinese New Years' and other "special" shows I saw had this opener. It usually signaled- Oh okay- weird night ahead!
Out of space I like Dear Mr. Fantasy, just because of a magical RedRocks show when jer pulled outta a mountain-top space and into this Winwood classic. You had to be there. "There is nothing like a Grateful Dead Concert, at the Rocks"

I was standing next to a friend - guy had seen like a billion shows - "Playin'" I said.
"Naw" my friend said ....
"CrazyFingers" I said ....
"NO WAY !" he said ...
and then BAM!
He was blown.
But you could hear 'em warming up the tunes so it was easy ....
Probably my fav tour ....
:D
What do guys with bands like to open with ?
Seems like me and buddies always do Cold Rain ......
:D :D :D
