I started this project guitar a few weeks ago while trying to mod a Squier for fun. As it progressed the new neck for the Squier didn't fit right so I ended up grabbing a fender body and swapping the neck onto it. I also threw in some tonerider pickups that sound pretty good for the money. Anyway here are some pics of my very first custom made guitar.

I think all said and done this project will cost about $600 from start to finish. It was worth it!! I learned A LOT about strats and how they work. I think the biggest thing I learned is that PARTS ARE NOT always interchangeable. All of these types of guitars are made from similar parts but often they differ by fractions of an inch and therefore don't always fit together. That is why there is no jack on this guitar, I pulled the jack of the Squier and it didn't fit right, it looked ok but underneathe the jack was hitting the inside of the body. I just thought I would share this with you guys, it was overall a very fun project and it was actually pretty quick to do.
