the new bass sounded superb! I put some of it through my monitor and I could hear the nice higher tones from him for once. It was really cool.

that sounded pretty dialed in to me. not too many bugs to work out. really wanted to check out your stuff mike. was a little cramped in there, and some guys get a little anal about people gettin too close to their gear. not really a tech guy myself, trying to get into that end of it as i look for my sound.

You should have come & said hi - I'd have been happy to show you my gear

will def say hi next time for sure. hot and cramped = me thirsty. what is your training? i am basically 10 yrs in with no real training. just books and internet, lots of stuff out there that seem to clog my brain. feeling more confident lately though. might be time to find a teacher, but that may be a little difficult considering the sound and style i would be looking for. any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance.

I ordered the neck in late June, and just finished the bass about two weeks ago. I know I spent at least a few weeks Photoshopping ideas before the neck ordering, too... so about 6 months, give or take. The bugs I want to work out are raising the pickups (need longer screws and more foam) and turning down the gain on the preamp, hoping for more output and longer battery life.
