yup....

you'd think it'd be a lot easier if they just put up the entire yearbook...

BTW - I believe WSP will be at Red Rocks during your visit..

I've seen this outrage on every board I'm on.. *sigh*

Dig into it a bit, the area closed off and fenced off with warning signs stating there was photography and videotaping.

However, they decided to ignore that, go into an area that is off-limits, under survelience, commit an illegal act, and then be outraged.

Idiots.

Then the campus police posting the photos without proof of what they were actually smoking.

Idiots.

Yeah, all the students are frickin' idiots. If the sign says they're going to use video, it's a pretty good possibility they're going to use video. So they're boneheads.

But the fact that this kind of surveillance could take place in Boulder is just kinda opposite of the image I had of Boulder. I was thinking liberal, not Big Brother-ish. Isn't it called the People's Republic of Boulder?

Weird.

excellent observation jck_strw. This isn't the first time they've done this too. Of course, they also have camera mounted on traffic lights, etc...

As LeftOver Salmon Says:

"When I grow up, I wanna work at Alfalfa's
Where the cheese is dairy free
A birkenstocks, spandex, necktie, patchouli grocery
I'll have a job, picking through the produce- no pesticides for me!
I'll be a working modern income socially conscience Boulder hippie"

Don't get me wrong, Boulder's a great spot, but it's riding a reputation that no longer applies. If you want the "real" Boulder, you'll have to go up to Nederland.

People's Republic of Boulder?
I thought that was Berkeley's schtick.

Sign, sign, everywhere a sign
Blocking out the scnery, breaking my mind
"Do this, don't do that!"
Can't you read the sign???

...

But on the other side, it didn't say nuthin':
That side was made for you and me.

Boulder's pretty cool... I stayed there for the last half of 1989, saw Shakedown Street at the Dark Horse a few times and caught my first ABB show at Red Rocks... stupidly, I was still there when Warlocks played Hampton! :?

But I've settled down in my favorite city of all!

Update:

Three of the students whose photographs taken at the rally were posted online along with the offer of a reward for identifying them to CU police plan to sue the university in federal court for violating their civil rights, their attorneys said Wednesday.
