Yeah, the Rays came out a little flat. Not that the Phils didn't, what with Howard, Utley and Burrell starting the series ice cold, and Utley and Burrell never warming up! But the big man came through, Rollins is great and Victorino and Werth were solid the whole way, throw in some great performances by the "lesser knowns" and good pitching and Philly finally has another World Series ring. Kind of messes up my planned T-shirt idea though, to make a take-off of the Yankees' "Got Rings?" shirt where it just says "Got Ring?" Oh well, I'll trade a championship for my Phillies for my latest million dollar idea. I kind of thought that Bud Selig made the Phils win that game twice though, did anyone else feel that way? I thought that once the game was official, if it got called for the night, you went back to the last completed inning and whoever was winning then won the game. Am I "off base" here? (pun intended) If I have that rule right, Monday night should have reverted to the end of the 5th when the Phils were leading 2 to 1 and they should have been crowned champions then, right? But then we wouldn't have gotten another night of TV revenues, now would we? Anyway, it feels to me like the Phillies won the series 5 games to 1, which makes mttourpro's prediction of the Phillies in 6 exactly correct.
Mama Mama many worlds I've come since I first left home.
