IMO....they were the rockingest band for their era.....when they came to town it was an event....they didn't come around all that much but when they did it was special...saw them at Kezar right after IV came out and it was unreal..we got there at 5 pm the day before..everyone partied all night long... ..they opened the gates at 6 am...smoked a j watching the sunrise over the bay from the top of the stadium ....Vitaman A for breakfast and lunch and then look out below...show started at noon with the Tubes opening...sunshine thru the fog in the afternoom. ...again it was live and in the moment...also saw their last American show at Oakland when they beat up some of Bill Grahams people and started 3 hours late....not as good as the first time but still you had to be there.....I have some live bootlegs from MSG that would blow your mind....just like any other band...you pay your money and take your chances...I would still go to see them as opposed to the Stones or someone else of that era...you only go around once .................
