Even more reason to go see the Dead.
Guys are getting old and wont be around forever.
It goes without saying that DarkSide of the Moon is one of rocks greatest albums;one of musics great pieces of work.

What a shame, he was a talented dude.

Insanely talented. One of the best bands ever. He will be missed.

Bummer. I didn't know he was ill. What a terrific talent and he always came across in interviews as a real nice guy.

This is a shame. In my opinion, he was kinda the silent genius of Pink Floyd. I know he didn't write as much as the other guys but he was still a very tasteful musician.

He will be missed.

Also, he was a brilliant navigator to me (and I'm sure other people) on quite a few intraspace journeys.

Hope he's playing that great gig in the sky now...

That's too bad. Now there will never be another Pink Floyd reunion.

Just give songs like Echoes, Crazy Diamond, Great Gig (of chorse) or anyother Floyd song and you will here his genious at work.

I think tonight when I get back home to sunny Florida, after the baby has been put to bed, I'll smoke a doob, throw on the cans and listen to Animals.

For me it is my all time favorite album. When those funky Rhodes riffs open up Sheep I will no doubt get the chills.

RIP

To me the Animals and Wish You Were Here albums are some of the best "concept" albums ever in rock.
Of course The Wall and Darkside are pretty good too.

Yup. I think for me it was Meddle and Wish you were here.

Just imagine how many many bags of Doritos have died a quick and horrible death on the heels of those records!

shine on you crazy diamond! Wright will surely be missed he brought the avant garde to the foreground! Floyd took you to another galaxy not just space!
