Here's how I play the intro lick.

So I'm not exactly sure if I'm tabbing this right. The first note is with the 7G already bent to the 9, hit it again and then release to the 7. Same with the 5A.

The rest of the intro I play C maj pentatonic.

On TJ, I can't get a good sense of chord changes behind the lead. In particular when you hit the G C chord ending after strumming the C. Sometimes I hear it, most of the time not. Also how long are you on the C before you go to the F. It's quite awhile to count out so how do you know when you are playing lead when its time to transition? Can one of you guys tab out the chord changes in time behind the lead or better yet post a video of rhythm part to use as a backing track for me to jam on seeing I don't have any heads to play with?

Bill, on NFA can you tab out the run up after Not Fade Away is screamed out at 5:19 of the vid?

Good stuff here. Been meaning to mention that to crzyfingers - he's not going to the G at the end of the phrasing.

Here's how the lead breaks down:

Each phrase is 2 - 4/4's so I think 8 count (though I don't actually count - I pretty much just internalize the phrase timing x 4)

C - 4 - 8 count phrases of C--G-C
F - 2 - 8 count phrases
G - 2 - 8 count phrases

next the C and F portions repeat then

G - 1 - 8 count phrase + 1 - 4 count phrase then

4 count - Bb - F - G - C (this I screwed up big time in the vid )

So the last G + the Bb-F-G-C = 2 - 8 counts

We also played 5 instead 4 phrases over the first C as well. But at least we screwed it up together

Don't think I'll be makin a vid of the rythym - hell, I'm churnin out the ones I want to do at a snails pace as it is.

My advice; Get thee a looper!! Great gadgets - I got a jamman this year (about $270) and what an excellent practice tool! I also used it (and will be much more) for the To Lay Me Down vid for a backing rythym track for my lead. Well worth the money and there are cheaper ones with fewer bells and whistles.

For the record the v= vibrato but it's actually a bend. The tab program didn't let me put up a b for bend w/o out following with another note citation. It's not a full half step bend so I didn't want to follow with a note. I should just go ahead and edit it now anyway...
