I used to LOVE Sierra Nevada in the 90s but lately (past couple years) it hasn't seemed as good. I think they might have changed the hop-profile, or maybe they just make too much of it now for it to be as consistent. I did have a Seirra Anniversary Ale and also a Torpedo Ale that were very tasty over the past month.

TS--try a Green Flash Imperial IPA if you can find it---you will like....hmmmmm, Green Flash IIPA

Oh yeah, and Troeg's Nugget Nectar. Hoppy deliciousness and it smells like skunky funky nugs!

In my fridge right now:

Dogfish 60 minute IPA
Brooklyn Lager (this is really good, and not that expensive)
Some cans of regular bud, can't run out of the old red white and blue sandwiches!
A bottle of some strange Belgian Tripel that I found at a beer oriented store for $15.
Probably a few bottles of Yuengling too, but they are for my wife.

Ah, finally a thread I can sink my teeth into! I am more of a whiskey/scotch drinker, but when it comes to the brews, I did put in my time. Loved Newcastle, Whatney's Cream Stout, Guiness, etc, but I must say that these are some special one's:

Anderson Valley-Hop ottin is good and their oatmeal stout is as good/better than Sammy Smith's imho

Bass-always good, always consistent

Terminal Gravity- The best IPA, bar none!

and the winner is....

Deschutes Brewing Co., Bend Oregon. Their Mirror Pond is the best drinking beer available today. They also have a Twilight ale that is luscious and the best organic beer that is being made...Green lakes.

couldn't agree more, especially with the cost of beer these days. However, there is Oberon from Bell's Brewery in Michigan that is an amazing brew for the summer time!

Speaking of that, Rogue is selling for close to $10.00 a 6 pack in my town!

Here is a man with taste Deschutes and Bells mmmm beer.

I used to live in Bend and would frequently go into the brewery/restaurant. If you want to try the best ginger ale in the world thats the place to get it. The Obsidian stout is one of the best too (I'll take it over guinness any day)

I tend to favor dark beers like stouts and porters. I had a Samuel Smiths taddy porter and a couple of Stoudt's Fat Dog (Imperial Oatmeal Stout) last night.
I really like the fat dog. I also had some Brooklyns and Leinenkugels. I drank a lot.

Anyone tried the HopSlam?? It is my fav, but only brewed for 2 weeks a year. I love the Oberon on a hot summer day and the Two Hearted is solid too.

Big props for the Anderson Valley! The Boont Amber and ESB (used to be called Belk's ESB) are also both well worth a purchase.

D'OH... ya lost me completely right there. Mirror Pond is one of the blandest ales in the NW imho, a micro w/ a mass-produced taste. Deschutes has some really great beers (and good food) on tap in their brewpub in Bend, but as far as what makes it into their bottle sales they kinda bore me the way they break to the middle ground.
