All the shows I went to were fun fun fun. Never had a bad time or anything. Worst show for me was an RFK show summer 89. I had been out west (Red Rocks) and was spoiled for shows in natural settings. RFK is concrete and crowded. Video screens suck the life out of Live entertainment. Sound blew . I think the set list was good, but it was too hot, crowded, concrete and undead like for me. Stadium shows are tough to pull off.

The stadium show thing should be a different thread, 'cause one of the best shows I ever saw was at Rich Stadium in Buffalo.

FURTHERMORE...worst show I ever saw was at Highgate '94:

7/13/94
I: LTGTR; Jack Straw ; Althea ; Queen Jane Approximately ; Loser ; It's All Over Now ; Tennessee Jed ; Let It Grow

II: Truckin' > New Speedway Boogie ; Way To Go Home ; Corrina > Uncle John's Band > Drums > Space > I Want To Tell You > I Need A Miracle > Standing On The Moon > Sugar Magnolia

Encore: U.S. Blues

Jerry was higher than I've ever seen him. He could barely stand, it seemed like. Forgot almost every word & note to every song. SOTM was ABYSMAL. FUNNY, tho - I think he really knew it, 'cause TWO shows later, at the concretie RFK, they did SOTM again - this time, Jerry with authority!!

July 2, 1995. My vote for worst show has little to actually do with the music/performance but deals with the crowd. The death threat towards Jerry and the gate crashing events will forever rank this show as my least favorite. It is unfortunate that this was actually my last show also, a sad way to end many, many great time and memories.

Don't forget Egypt!

Any other big opportunities they blew?

Hmmm...

Jerry was laughing about that on Letterman back in the 80s

Nope.But I will ...
There is usually something I like about every show.I was gonna pick out the worst versions of tunes - but then I spaced out listening to 10/10/82.

I'd like to take this time to defend a show that gets ripped all the time.
11/25/82
Jamaica
It is filled with tech probs and a short show but has that energy !
Brent goes reggae the whole night - dig him on Fire
Jerry's guitar has some issues but he plays some great stuff the whole night ( morning,I guess - it was 4 am I think) ....
I always read here and there what a crapfest it was ,but I love it !

1/26/87 san francisco Civic Center

Shakedown-Get Back-Peggy O opener. Bobby's dog had just died. Only Get Back ever attempted (and if you listen, you'll know why!) I flew out of DC the day after a blizzard to be there and was floored at how poor it was. No space. Very odd show indeed.

God, I was there as well. What a freaky show. Jerry was already acting like he was high again. Listen to him sing Eyes. He sounds like he has rocks in his mouth.

Worst show I was ever at? Probably the first night in Philly in the spring of '85, I think the date was approximately April 6 or so. Just very lifeless, Jerry had a terrible cold ( on top of weighing roughly 350 lbs. and being junked up out of his gourd ). Very pedestrian setlist, and very little enthusiasm involved.

Worst I've ever heard? Well, there's lots of contenders from 1994 and 1995, but I'm going to go with Salt Lake City from 1995. Sweet Jesus that show is an embarrassment! In truth, though, I pretty much won't and don't listen to shows from the Vinny era because they are almost always disappointing to me.
