OMFG this has got to be the best show of 1978, and blows 77 shows out of the water

highlights so far:

Bertha opener
Samson and Delilah - probably the best Ive ever heard, second jam is amazing
Wharf Rat - also one of the best Ive ever heard, sounds more like hard rock @ the end

Sometimes I just hate cubicles. The people to the left are talking about blade servers, the people to the right are talking about wedding dresses.

That was such a sweet show.. amazing jams. Made better by one of the best lot scenes Eh_VORRRRRRRRR. Great-sounding little arena, in a great little(big) college town. It was a midweek 2-nighter between the major weekend stops of Pittsburgh and Cinci, and the ushers and ticket-takers were all student volunteers and they were letting in pretty much EVERYONE who wanted in, ticket or not!!

One guy used a Ringling Bros. ticket from the week before, but it was just a pleasantry... I saw hand-drawn and colored tickets being accepted with a big ol' unnatural grin!!

I had fond memories of those shows. The camping scene, buying tickets at the door (or getting in free), etc. Although we didn't know it at the time, it was the only show that both my wife and I attended together.

an emotionally charged Throwing Stones from Ratdog on that fateful night 8-9-95 by Ratdog with Bobby screaming "PAPPAS GONE WE'RE ON OUR OWN" -- most touching performance ever, you can really tell how much Bobby loved Jerry . . .

Just bought So Many Roads box set, there's some awesome stuff on there.

In general though, 1969 Dark Stars. My 2006 Gibson SG I bought on Ebay (mint, $861!) just arrived and Jerry played it on Live Dead. Obsessed with '69-70 Dark Stars right now. Garcia was a jazz legend, period.
