Would have to listen to both tunes of course. HEY the best thing that's happened w/ this thread is that I get turned on to some material I've never heard before!!
If you've never heard "Khatru", it's a MUST. And if you could come anywhere close to Steve Howe's guitar prowess on that song, I don't think anyone would mind you singing two octaves lower than Anderson...

How close is "anywhere close"....like as close as Cleveland is to Beijing? 'Cause I might get in and around THAT "close" to Howe's prowess...he's a MONSTER!!! I'm gonna find it & listen, anyway! Thanks TS!

Pappy,

Im excited to hear it man, I dont know if yall like Blind Melon but No Rain is always a fun tune and usually pretty recognizable by others...

Appreciate it man!

[\quote="pappypgh"]Chuckles...yeah, you're right. Sorry man. I just figured that this was the place to ask. But I think maybe I've been a tad overactive & self-centered with my postings...my bad.

Thanks for the kudos, tho![quote]

I am SO glad you didn't take that the wrong way! The kudos are MUCH more important than the critique - and I was making it after two hours of a fucking smoke alarm repeatedly going off in my hotel in the middle of the night, so... ymmv.
:-)

Love the Buddy Miles suggestion...

No prob, Chuckles...you were right, as I said. 'Sall good.

I didn't get to check out ANY of those songs on iTunes last night as I was stuck in traffic for 547 hours on the way back home from the Steeler game. AND I'm goin' out of town and won't have computer access for 4-5 days. SO, I'll check 'em ALL out when I return next Wednesday.

AND - Weirimpressed...
We DO "No Rain" when our wonderfully talented friend, Cherylann Hawk joins us (she's KILLER). She sings lead. David is currently looking for a version of Possum for ya.

Possum's up....don't know how good it is, as I didn't listen to it. BUT I'm pretty sure the only couple of half-decent recordings we ever got of it, Patti Spadaro is joining us on guitar (playing a really nice PRS).

(not to be self-serving, it was a request..heheh)

One of the coolest songs I ever heard a band cover was 'Cry Baby Cry' - Beatles. Not a real dancer though...

And yes all the 'Causer's' have been very cool and appreciated! Makes me wish I was in a band all the more.
