When it doesn't fit anywhere else

So I ended up getting the SKB 55 and I must say I think I dig it. It's got a lot of great features on it. A cable tester? outstanding!

Anyway, thanks for your help. pappypgh sold me

A CABLE TESTER?! SH*T! I feel as if I got jipped on my SB45!! hahah....I SOLD ya, did I? You do know I'm a Sales Manager at a Nissan dealership, right?

I guess 'I still got it' - as they say.

Sounds like someone at SKB owes me a commission!!!

Congrats - that looks nice. Did you try it out yet??

I hope to someday play gigs where I can fit a pedal board into my alloted stage space.

Yeah, any glue is gonna melt in the heat of a car on a hot summer day, or whatever... saw a friend's 7-iron head fly off the shaft 'cause fo that once. Laughed mao.

That SKB looks sweet, but not as nice as those vintage Ibanez stompboxes!

I'd like to chime in on the "melting glue" comments. I had my SKB out in my car on a 90+degree day at a festival we played earlier this month. NO issues. That case is sickleberry & will withstand whatever conditions you put it through, IMO.

Enjoy it, Dozin'!!

I'd like to chime in on the whole "melting glue" issue...

I had my SKB case out in my car on a 90+ degree day for about 9 hours earlier this month at a festival we played - no problems at all. That case is fantastic. Enjoy it, Dozin'!! Looks GREAT! Wish I got THAT one!!

"Melting glue" is usually worsened by position in the car. Try keeping your pedalboard flat and that should help when the cool re-sticks

When I need it, I use the pedal screws to go through little circles of velcro, and pretty much never mess with adhesives.

i tell you what, that velcro they supply is some s-t-r-o-n-g shit. however, i'll take the advice and lay it down when it's warm

Yep. Even the best velcro will fail on occasion when the board is stored vertically.

my 2 cents.. even the heavy duty vlecro glue breaks down with heat.. i saw somebody on here who did it with little flexi binders ( like flexicuffx but smaller) and vow that is the next incarnation of my fastener attempts...

I'd like to see how that's done

somebody.. i think on here .. has it on their board pics.. but strapped around the pedal between the knobs and then through a hole or two, i guess, in the back.. but if you leaf through those pedal board pics i am pretty sure that someone's got it on theirs..tk

I use to use zip ties (if that's what you are referring to) on my old homemade 3/8" plywood pedal board, and I think I posted pics in that giant "My Rig" thread.... which I may have removed when I updated my rig to the Warwick board.
