I'm looking for suggestions of some of your favorite Brent shows. I really love when he is on and would love to collect some other great shows. Thanks for your suggestions.

A bit of clarification perhaps:

shows with excellent examples of Brent on lead vocals? (7/7/89, 4/15/89, 9/18/88, 6/30/87, 4/9/87 etc)?

...or with standout keyboard contributions ? (many)

... or just the most awesome all-around shows that fall into the Brent era of 4/22/79 to 7/23/90? (again, very many)

Thanks Tiger, I should have been more specific. I am especially looking for examples of great shows with Brent on lead vocals. Thanks again for you suggestions. :-)

I personally like Buffalo 1990..awesome Blow Away...and the 2nd set Women Are...

Giants Stadium 89 is very good as well... Just A Little Light...I beleive there is a youtube clip of that show.

10-12-89 is good as well. Pockey Way 2nd set opener!! , Blow Away. also to note, you have to check out the Board version of this show if you can, Brent has very eerie vocals on Wharf Rat. I'm not sure if you can make it out on the Aud version, but none the less a smoking show...

I was at Buffalo 90....good Blow Away for sure. BETTER was 3-16-90 Cap Center to close the set. GREAT Brent vocals on the Hampton (Formerly The Warlocks show) 10-9-89 version of "Death Don't Have No Mercy."

I'm also partial to his vocal contributions at the Hamilton, Ontario shows 3-21 & 3-22 1990. "Easy To Love You," AND "Far From Me"...great stuff.

Is there such a thing as a "bad" Brent show??
The band was basically in high gear for most of Brent's time....a few clunkers her and there, but basically enfuego throughout.

Check out Louisville 89 for a good brent-sung

a low point, for sure. For a pretty good Maybe, try 4/20/83 Provy.

Oh my a great Brent show is Providence 9-9-87...
opened the show with Hey Pocky way and closed the set with Devil with a blue dress-Good Golly Miss Molly-Devil with a blue dress, what a great 1st set, Jerry had a huge, I mean huge shit eating grin during the close of that set...

Also side note Brent was in my room the night before, and we told him how great he was, and don't let those old guys(Jerry , phil, bobby) give ya shit, and sing more, he than played my guitar and sang dear Mr fantasy, and one other ,and loved our dark imported beers, and nothing else. I guess he listened to us, cause the next nite he opened and closed the 1st set, only time I think!

When Brent opens a set wiht Pocky Way, its quite awesome. as good as a Bucket or Stanger Opener.

Another vote for 9/9/87: What Astroman said plus a Phil/Brent Gimmee Some in the second set.

Also, 6/23/88 for the verses on Iko and Women, Pocky Way, Gimme Some and the ultimate hoot, the laugh on attempted Blackbird encore. Plus, it's a decent show otherwise:

06/23/88
Alpine Valley Music Theater - East Troy, WI
Set 1:
Iko Iko
New Minglewood Blues
It Must Have Been The Roses
Me And My Uncle
Mexicali Blues
Stagger Lee
When I Paint My Masterpiece
Bird Song
Promised Land

Set 2:
Hey Pocky Way
Believe It Or Not
Man Smart-Woman Smarter
He's Gone
Drums
I Need A Miracle
Gimme Some Lovin'
All Along The Watchtower
Morning Dew

Encore:
Blackbird
Brokedown Palace

Don't Need Love is another rare one, 84-86 only. My fave is the final version from II pre-Drums 4/13/86- has Jerry and Phil leaving, but Bobby stays and plays lead guitar.
